
Behind Cinora

Cinora is led by Ashley Catherine Dick, a Scottish filmmaker and member of BAFTA connect working in directing, editing and animating. She has been commissioned by the BBC, BAFTA and Screen Scotland, her work has screened in festivals all over the world and has been nominated for an RTS Award and the Thelma Schoonmaker Prize for Short Filmmaking Excellence. She has delivered training and advice for the National Film & Television School, the University of the West of Scotland and Edinburgh College. You can watch some of her work below.

A documentary following Ash and her grandparents coming to terms with their deepest fears and finding new outlooks on life and death. Ash crafted this Documentary as part of Gmac Film’s Little Pictures Program.

My Dad & The Volcano

Director Gavin Reid confronts his failed art career through his 6 foot volcano sculpture that has resided in his dad's shed for 5 years. Ash edited this documentary. ​





Working Differently

A Documentary about neurodivergent people working in the creative industries. Ash features in this documentary, and created all the animations shown in the doc.




Spooky Memes

A horror-comedy that follows a follower-hungry spiritualist and a nihilist skeptic on their first paranormal investigation. Ash wrote, directed and animated everything you see in the film.



Canton
Anthropesis Films (12 mins, 2019)
A documentary exploring the life of rural Romanians, who share an experience of saving lives at the town road/rail intersection.
