Cinora Teases Short Film Project

'Darkroom' is a short dramatic comedy about a 90s photo lab technician who must overcome her fear of social seclusion by sharing her proof of aliens, in order to live her truth.

Something 90s this way comes

The inspiration for Darkroom came from a mixture of real life events. In the 90s, areas of Scotland experienced high volumes of UFO sightings, creating localised frenzies. When director Ashley Catherine Dick was a child in the 90s, her mum worked in a photo lab. Ash still uses analogue cameras and develops her own photos today. She merged these two worlds into Darkroom, hoping to explore the feeling of being different in a conventional world, but finding a way to channel your uniqueness and live your truth.

The project will create approximately 14 paid opportunities for creatives as it seeks to involve up and coming talent in its production.
